Air Fryer Applesauce Fritters

Delightful and healthier fritters made with applesauce, perfect for a quick snack or dessert.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups applesauce
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the applesauce, egg, and vanilla extract. Stir until well mixed.
  2. In another bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking powder, and salt until combined.
  3. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture and stir until just combined.
  4. Preheat the air fryer according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the air fryer basket, leaving space between each fritter.
  6. Set the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) and cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  7. Mix the powdered sugar with the milk in a bowl until smooth for the glaze.
  8. Once cooked, dip the fritters into the glaze and enjoy warm.

Notes

These fritters are best served warm and can be accompanied by applesauce or whipped cream.
