Candied Orange Slices

Delightful sweet and slightly tart candied orange slices, perfect as a garnish for desserts or a tasty snack.

Ingredients

  • 2 oranges
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 cup of water

Instructions

  1. Slice the oranges thinly, about 1/8 inch thick.
  2. In a saucepan, combine sugar and water, and bring to a boil.
  3. Once boiling, reduce heat and gently add the orange slices to the syrup.
  4. Simmer for about 45 minutes until the slices become translucent, stirring occasionally.
  5. Carefully remove slices from the syrup and place them on a wire rack to cool and dry.
  6. Use as a garnish or decoration for desserts and drinks.
