Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

A delightful treat that combines the rich flavor of ripe bananas with the sweetness of chocolate chips, perfect for breakfast, snacks, or dessert.

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • A pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter with the mashed bananas until smooth.
  3. Add baking soda and a pinch of salt, stirring to combine.
  4. Mix in the sugar until well blended.
  5. In a separate bowl, beat the egg, then add it along with the vanilla extract to the banana mixture, stirring until combined.
  6. Gradually add the flour, mixing until just combined.
  7. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  8. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan, spreading evenly.
  9. Bake for 60-65 minutes, checking doneness with a toothpick.
  10. Let cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  11. Slice and enjoy warm or at room temperature.

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh, but can be stored for several days at room temperature or frozen for later use.
