Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies

Delightful chocolate oatmeal cookies, easy to make and perfect for a quick snack or dessert.

  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Begin by placing a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add the sugar, cocoa powder, milk, and peanut butter to the saucepan.
  2. Stir the ingredients continuously as they heat up until the mixture comes to a boil, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Once boiling, allow the mixture to boil for 1-2 minutes, being careful not to burn it.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the rolled oats and vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between each cookie.
  6. Let the cookies cool for about 30 minutes to firm up before serving.

Notes

For a more wholesome flavor, use natural peanut butter. You can also experiment with adding chocolate chips or dried fruits.
