Creamy Garlic Mushroom Beef

A comforting dish featuring tender beef in a rich, creamy sauce with earthy mushrooms, perfect for family dinners or special occasions.

  • 1 lb beef (cut into strips or cubes)
  • 8 oz mushrooms (sliced)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the beef, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned (5-7 minutes).
  3. Remove the beef from the skillet and keep warm.
  4. Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook until softened (about 5 minutes).
  5. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  6. Pour in the beef broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine.
  7. Add the beef back into the skillet, stir, and let simmer for about 10 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  8. Serve over mashed potatoes, pasta, or rice, garnished with chopped parsley if desired.

Notes

For a lighter sauce, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half. You can add herbs for additional flavor.
