Ham and Cheese Puff Pastry Pockets

Delicious and flaky puff pastry pockets filled with ham and cheese, perfect for snacks, appetizers, or light meals.

  • 1 sheet Puff pastry (Thawed)
  • 8 slices Ham (Thinly sliced)
  • 8 slices Swiss cheese (or cheddar)
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard (Optional)
  • 1 large Egg (Beaten)
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley (Optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a floured surface until flat and smooth.
  3. Cut the pastry into 4-inch squares to get about 8 squares.
  4. Spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard on one square of pastry (optional).
  5. Layer slices of ham and cheese on top of the mustard, keeping it centered.
  6. Place another square of pastry over the filled square and crimp the edges to seal.
  7. Brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  8. Sprinkle fresh parsley on top (optional).
  9. Bake on a parchment-lined baking sheet for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
  10. Let cool briefly before serving.
