Happy Halloween Treats

Delightful Halloween-themed cookies that are fun to make and perfect for celebrations.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 1/2 cups Halloween-themed sprinkles or candies

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla.
  5. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined.
  6. Fold in the Halloween sprinkles or candies.
  7. Scoop dough onto a lined baking sheet, leaving space between dollops.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are light golden brown.
  9. Cool the cookies on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  10. Decorate with extra sprinkles if desired.

Notes

Room temperature ingredients will lead to a better dough consistency. Don’t overmix to avoid tough cookies.
