Instant Pot Turkey Chili

A quick and healthy turkey chili made in the Instant Pot, packed with flavor and nutrition.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 medium sweet potato, diced
  • 1 cup quinoa, rinsed
  • 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for sautéing

Instructions

  1. Set the Instant Pot to sauté mode and add olive oil.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until soft (3-5 minutes).
  3. Add ground turkey, breaking it up and stirring until browned.
  4. Stir in sweet potato, quinoa, black beans, diced tomatoes, chicken broth, chili powder, cumin, and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Close the lid, set valve to sealing, and cook on high pressure for 15 minutes.
  6. Allow natural pressure release for 10 minutes, then quick-release any remaining pressure.
  7. Open the lid, stir, and serve hot.

Notes

For a spicier chili, add chopped jalapeños or hot sauce. Let the chili rest overnight for enhanced flavor.
