Million Dollar Ravioli Casserole

A delightful and hearty casserole featuring layers of cheesy goodness, savory meat, and delicious ravioli, perfect for family dinners or gatherings.

  • 1 pound ground beef (or ground turkey/sausage)
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 package (25 oz) frozen cheese ravioli
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  3. Once browned, stir in the marinara sauce and let it simmer for 5-10 minutes.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, egg, and half of the grated Parmesan cheese. Mix until fully incorporated.
  5. In a large baking dish, add a thin layer of the meat sauce to cover the bottom.
  6. Spoon half of the ricotta mixture over the meat sauce layer.
  7. Spread a layer of shredded mozzarella cheese over the ricotta mixture, followed by the remaining grated Parmesan cheese.
  8. Layer in your frozen cheese ravioli.
  9. Pour more meat sauce over the ravioli, following with the remaining ricotta mixture and mozzarella cheese, repeating until all ingredients are used.
  10. Finish with a layer of meat sauce and mozzarella on top, cover with foil, and bake for 25 minutes.
  11. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  12. Let sit for 10 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil if desired.
