Mini Beef Wellingtons

Delightful bite-sized beef and mushroom pastries wrapped in flaky puff pastry, perfect as appetizers or elegant party snacks.

  • 1 pound beef tenderloin, cut into small pieces
  • 2 cups mushrooms, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 package of puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add garlic and mushrooms, cooking until browned and moisture is evaporated (about 5-7 minutes).
  4. Season mushroom mixture with salt and pepper.
  5. Mix cooked mushrooms with beef in a bowl.
  6. Roll out puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into squares.
  7. Place a spoonful of the beef and mushroom mix in the center of each pastry square.
  8. Fold the pastry over the filling and seal the edges tightly.
  9. Brush the tops with beaten egg.
  10. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden.
  11. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For added flavor, consider mixing in herbs like thyme or rosemary to the beef and mushroom filling. You can also serve with dipping sauces such as horseradish or barbecue sauce.
