Old-Fashioned Egg Custard Pie

  • 1/4 cup butter, melted and slightly cooled
  • 4 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • Ground nutmeg, for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9.5-inch pie plate.
  2. In a blender, combine the melted butter, eggs, sugar, salt, whole milk, vanilla extract, and flour. Blend for about 30 seconds until smooth and creamy.
  3. Pour the blended mixture into the greased pie dish and sprinkle ground nutmeg on top.
  4. Bake for approximately 45 minutes until the custard sets with a slight jiggle in the middle.
  5. Allow the pie to cool for at least 30 minutes before serving.
