Slow-Cooked Beef in Onion Sauce

  • 1 packet onion soup mix (approx. 1 oz.)
  • 1 can (10.5 oz.) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Trim the beef to remove excess fat and cut into bite-sized pieces; season with black pepper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine onion soup mix, condensed cream of mushroom soup, flour, water, and Worcestershire sauce; stir until fully incorporated.
  3. Add the prepared beef to the slow cooker and pour the sauce over the beef; stir gently to coat.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until the beef is fork-tender.
  5. Serve the beef over mashed potatoes, rice, or pasta, and garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
